Savage 12 FCV .204 ruger

I am curious to see if anyone owns this particular model of Savage? If so what is your feedback on this particular model? Also what is the twist rate on this rifle?

wirelessguy2005, I don't have an FCV but you're not getting a whole lotta help here. I have a Savage 12 VL in .204, which also is a 12 Series Varmint rifle, and it's the most accurate firearm of any sort I've ever owned. It rarely shoots more than 1" @200 yards. If I could manage to stuff a 30-30 cartridge into the chamber and get the bolt to close, I'm convinced it'd shoot under 1MoA.

The twist on mine is 1:12. I'd say it's a fair bet the 12 FCV's is the same.

i appreciate the response. The rifle has been ordered and is in transit. I am looking forward to picking it up and spending some time shooting. I would think that it would be a very accurate rifle since it has the accustock and accutrigger.

As fred said, it's probably a 1 in 12". I am a VLP owner and I can also vouch for the Savage's...you won't be disappointed!

I have the FV in .223 though! :)

I am really impressed with the quality of this rifle. I am especially impressed with the new accustock that Savage offers. They appear to have an aluminum bedding block like the HS precision stocks do. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, however i will post an update as soon as i get a chance.
