Benchmark barrels

Post by Sidewinderwa »

Does anyone have any first hand experience with Benchmark barrels? I am putting a 20 VarTarg together and seriously looking at a Benchmark barrel. They even thread it for Savages. I would appreciate any information you have on them. I will probably go with a 11 twist.

No firsthand but I have read enough to make me a believer!

I spoke with Kevin Rayhill a little while back and he REALLY likes them!

Heard nothing but good and some put them up there with the likes of Hart, Kreiger, etc...

I will be giving them a try, $395 for a barrel ready to screw onto the Savage action. They are nice to work with.

Don't have any yet but have numerous friends that do and rave about em. Never heard anything but good reports about em. I am still pondering which excuse to use to sell the idea to my wife or I would have several. :D
