Does anyone shoot a 204 with a 20" barrel? Hows it do?

Re: 20" Barrel
Hi Song Dog, my first .204 was a ruger 77 ultralight synthetic with a skinny stainless 20" barrel. It shot 3/4 minute of angle 3 shot groups.I liked it a lot, but let it go because the end of the barrel was too small a diameter to thread for a sound moderator. I never checked velocities and only used hornady factory ammo. For me it jumped a bit to much to watch the hits, but that barrel WAS almost as fat as a pencil. cheers, Ken. PS I fitted a timney trigger.

Thanks Ken.
If I do a 20" I might just weld a weight to the end of it

Song Dog, i think a 20" in a heavier profile would be fine. Cheers.

Re: 20" Barrel
What brought up this topic is the Mdl 7 CDL w/ 20" barrel. I bet it would be awesome to carry and if the accuracy in the 20" was good, it could have a home. But a hvy barrel 20" would be neat.

Re: 20" Barrel
Song Dog, i have a M7 20".For the last two years i have used it in 22/250 guise, nice to shoot, but, i always had a moderator fitted which helps with recoil and bang. Last week it was re-barreled in .243 with a Pac-Nor #2 profile. It's 26" now, but it wont be long before i start the shortening process as i prefer shorter barrels. Cheers, Ken. PS. My 17 fireball is a M7 20" fitted with a rifle basix trigger. That trigger has really tightened up my groups on paper. After thought.... Do remy. do a M7 in 204? they don't market one in the UK, but they do a predator with cammo plastic stock with 20" barrel.
