35 grain berger vs. 39 grain sierra blitzking

which would you rather pick for your dedicated fur friendly coyote load for windy conditions? Why would you choose that one over the other one?

laker,

Those are the two most loved bullets by the forum members here. The Sierra is the favorite for rodent smuckers, and the Berger is the favorite for target punching and coyote killing. The 35 is more fur friendly by many reports. If your shots are on the long side, the 39 would have a higher BC for better trajectory and wind fighting ability, and the violent expansion would be minimized. If you shoot the critters at closer ranges, value the furs, or just can't train them to offer themselves as targets at the "right" distance, the 35's would probably be better. The 40 vmax seems to hold together a little better than the 39 if you're open to trying another bullet.

Show us some pictures of your results, please.

The 39gr. Sierra BK is the hands down winner for long distance and fighting the wind. I have shot it to 600 yards and can attest to its accuracy and wind bucking ability.
