Post by Song Dog »

I have now been desireing the 527 American. This never seems to seize, just when you think you got what you need, you want another. Great thing is, I know its not an illness. :D
And yes a 204......see what Melvin started :D I have 2 and now want another.

Heck, why not guys, I can get a better price on volume buying and I'll get another one too, then we'll all be happy. Everyone needs another gun or two in the same caliber, right?

I asked my wife once why she had to have so many dresses and she said she needed them for different occasions. Soooo, when she asked me why I needed so many guns............... She doesn't ask anymore and neither do I.
Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.

Melvin..... When people ask me why do I need more than one gun? I usually reply ......Why does a person who golfs need more than one club? Or why does a fisherman need more than one fishing pole/rod? Although most folks dont really understand..... its not need...... its want. Kinda like when youre in a gun shop and you are asked "What are you looking for"? And you answer "I'll know it when I see it"!

I've found that my "wants" have become outweighed by my "needs". By that I mean here in the eastern part of Ohio the farmers "need" groundhogs shot. So in order to do that for them I "need" various calibers for different areas. The rimfires are for around buildings & walking thru the small fields here & the CF are for everything else. But neither want nor need can compare to the fact that as an American,, I can "own" as many as I like.

I hear that! What you need to do now to fix the "CF for everything else" is break that down into "I need this one for this distance and that one for that distance!

It's working for me so far!

Melivn/Acloco: I am in for one...just let me know when your ready for my FFL info Melvin! :D

I run the 17HMR out to 125yds. From there the 221FB is my "out to 250yds" rig & the 204 "covers the rest".

  It's been like this since I bought the 221. Besides,, when I want/need a new rig I tell Diane what I'm looking at & she just asks,,"Can I shoot that one too??" I'm kinda lucky that way.

I generally collect firearms and my wife collects the fancy (= high $) Barbie Dolls and tropical plants....

Every time she questions me getting another one, I have to bring up her dolls (which are mostly still in the original packaging) and the fact that "At least I take mine out and play with them"....

She still gives me "That Look".....Sure wish I could get her to the range once in a while...
