brass price difference?
I was in the local shop looking for 204 brass. The container on the left had 17Fireball and Remington17 brass. There was only one package of 17 Fireball brass. None in the container of 204 brass. To the container on the right 221 Fireball with one package. Nothing in the rest of the brass containers. The 221 Fireball brass was priced at $39.99 if I recall correctly. And the 17 Fireball brass was priced at $49.99. It is the same case only necked down to 17 cal.

Re: brass price difference?
Yes it is the same case, and those prices are robbery! The going rate for a bag of 100 WW or R-P 222 family of cases should run no more than around $22....more is gouging, plain and simple.
These are times when I'm glad I laid in many thousands of cases long ago for the "what if" sceneario, which now appears to be here......

I am glad I have a 204. It was for a bag of 50. That comes out to one dollar a case. I would think the same case would cost the same. It is only a change in the machinery to produce the different caliber on the same case.
thank you for the fair price info.

I have been using the winchester and Remington brass I just purchased 500 peices of each for around $24 dollars a hundred. Last year I got them for $17. I get good results with these. Get on the Internet and shop Midwayusa.com or Midsouth shooters. Natchez. Sinclair International. You have to shop around. Buy in Bulk if you can.

Re: brass price difference?
I found the 204 can be reloaded for about the same price as the 223. It is about one of the most economical rounds to shoot out there. I have seen the brass prices for the fireball rounds and it has kept me from getting in to it. I shoot a lot of rounds in a year and it cost money but the 204 can be reloaded at a great value. Using winchester brass and Varmint Night mare bullets. Ramshot powder. A thousand rounds can be put together for around $400 dollars but the brass can be used several times bringing the price down over the years. I missed a great deal on Ramshot powder they had it on sale for $10.99 a pound I should of bought 10lbs. Now its up to $17 dollars a lbs. Shop for clearences and sales and stock up when the price is right.

Re: brass price difference?
You would be lucky to find it for $10.99 now. I have what I need for this years fun. I was trying to avoid being put on back order. The shelves were empty.
