I have been seeing horizontal group strings with a newly barreled rifle and was wondering what the typical causes are. Below is an example of what I am talking about.
Any thoughts?

ACLakey........check scope or swap out scope? Rem 700 action?
Check drag on firing pin spring in bolt housing...........grease oil etc.
Bad or broken trigger or trigger parts. Wrist torque on the pistol grip.......to much muscle or shooter input. Left or right stringing usually has to be shooter induced. Don't know if I helped, but things to check out!
Later and let us know how you made out.
