Good Powder 4 the ar-15?
I have a Bushmaster Predator AR-15 and i need a good powder and bullet perfer Hornady v-max

I prefer Benchmark, through the Dillon.
But, just about ANY ball powder does wonders, but some are rather dirty.

I have some Hogeden 335 and benchmark. Is benchmark a ball powder? I havent opened it up and looked

No, short short stick powder.
Your H335 will be good...but a little bit of a flame thrower. (if memory serves me)
Are you reloading progressive or single staging it?
BLC2, Accurate 2230 or 2460, Win 748, H322, H4198.....the list is endless.

Single but i am using a harrel powder thrower so ball powders work best.

here's my results:
- "Real" good luck with N135 & N540.
- "Real" good luck with RE-15.
- "Real" good luck with H4895.
- "Fair" luck with Varget.
I was looking for accuracy over velocity for 223 bullets in a competition AR-15. If temperature sensitivity isn't an issue, some others such as W-748 will work to. Never tried H335 but I did shoot a group for a person at the range and all 5 shots were touching @ 100yds. Also, primer selection will make a difference. If its a VLD design bullet so witll the diatance to the lands.
