Once in a while, I will stop by Sierra's Plant in Sedalia, MO and buy their seconds from their "Factory Store"...

You have to do it in person and buy by the pound, which equates to about a 3 for 1 savings..

Last time, I got 850+ 39gr SBKs and 400+ 50gr SBKs for just a hair over $100... I had to pick out a few that had deformed plastic tips (that don't really affect accuracy) and pull a couple of tips (that were inserted backwards) to give me hollow points....Some were just simply discolored...

I do the same thing at the Nosler Pro Shop, and in terms of accuracy, no difference whatever. In fact, I've been shooting primarily Nosler seconds on varmints since about 1978, and thousands of ground squirrels, prairie dogs, rockchucks and coyotes have been sent to the Big Varmint Patch in the Sky with them.

They are only classified as seconds because of visual blems which does not affect their ballistic performance.
