Load for Cooper rifle......

Post by Keith in Ga »

guess I'm not accomplished enough to find the answer in the search section. Does anyone have a load for a Cooper .204 using a Sierra 39 gr Blitzking? I've got some great loads for the 32 gr bullet, but our guide was commenting about how much more "air time" the 39 gr and 40 gr bullets were giving. Since I have more time now, thought I would try to work out a load for the Phoenix rifle. I was pretty impressed with my 32 gr load I used last year, and will shoot what ammo I have loaded, but he sees a lot more pd action, and I have to respect his opinion. Would appreciate any 39 gr loads that have worked for you.

This is a practically universal load here, everyone seems to like it, a LOT.

39 Sierra
27.5 H-4895
Winchester cases
Remington 7 1/2 primers (mine likes Fed. 205Ms better by far)
3880fps. from a Savage 26" barrel.

I'll let others chime in with 10X loads and the like, but that load above works extremely well in a bunch of rifles. As for air time, I'm liking the 32 Nosler BT a whole danged bunch  .
