Hey guys!, leaving for my 2nd P.D. trip in the morning and we are getting ready to make the 4 hr. drive up to the fiance's parents house in NW Iowa and heading to S.D. tomorrow morning.
So of course, I can not find my bottle of Sweets Copper remover........... I got off work late, and I HIGHLY doubt our group will stop or be anywhere close to a gunshop to pick some more up.
But I did make it to a local pawn shop that has very few gun stuff and I found some Shooters Choice Copper Remover. My question is....... this stuff contains 5% amonia and I can't remember if Sweets does or not.
Is this new Shooters Choice stuff ok... or what do you guys think about using and ammonia copper cleaner.
Will it hurt the Dewey rod? Should I just patch it thru and then nylon brush it? Thanks for your help guys!!!.....and I will check this post LATE tonight after the drive. Thanks and don't worry I will try to take LOTS of pics! -Dan

Re: Need QUICK help!!!
I like Shooter's Choice CR better than Sweets, it's a little safer for the barrels. Both have ammonia, both should be okay with your Dewey rods. RELAX, you're okay, you'll be fine
Calm down and have fun, and don't worry about things. Sweet's is a bit more aggressive than SCCR, and harder on the nose, but SCCR works almost as well, and it's a bit safer to leave in the bore, according to the bottle, anyway.
GO! SHOOT PDS, HAVE FUN, SHOW US PICS and relax, you're on vacation.
