Whats up #1. Ive got a vssfII. I can run a business card all the way back so I would call that free floated. I have only shot it 66 times and almost all groups have been less than .8 a couple of groups n the 1's ( accidents do happen). If i would quit swapping scopes on it i might get it settled and find out what it can do. The first 50 were hand loaded 40 noslers loaded light just to get breakin going and line the scope. Ive only shot the gun 66 times with no loads worked up yet (my cousin sold out on reloading; i was using his setup) so im probably not the one to give you a fair opinion on accuracy. Ive got some factory 39bks im itching to burn to see what they do. Most people seem to have luck with them. The palm swells on the stock are very comfortable. The HS stock has a aluminum bedding block and a rigid aramide fiber(aka kevlar if im not mistaken) stock. It does need a trigger for me though. My factory trigger is set at 1.75lbs which is way too heavy for me. Just got my VX-III 8.5-25 tgt dot on and hope for a trigger soon. I think it is a good platform to work up a load on but it's just my opinion and we all know about those. Probably try a savage next. If i can help you out any more just holler. They make a tan stock version or at least they did when i picked mine up. All in all im happy with it so far. Cant wait to buy a reload set up and start pressing some lead for it. later.
