Rifle Basix Triggers ?

Post by majcl5 »

I was thinking about putting one in and was wondering if anybody has put one in. I would use a timmeny but they only go from 1 1/2 # to 4 # and the rifle basix goes from 8 oz. to 1 1/2 #s.

FWIW I have 2 in Marlin rimfires & really like them. I would buy another if I needed a new trigger. For the $$ I spent on them I am very satisfied. HTH

Maj: I've got both in various rifles, used a Rifle Basix in my Ruger M77 220 Swift, and it is a vast improvement. No installation problems, and it's now a very sweet trigger.

I have three of them in my Savages. The RBII's that go down to 4 oz's. For proper functioning of the bolt with no worries of the sear slipping they're all adjusted to 7 oz's. Work great, highly recommended.
Sure a BR shooter might scoff at them but there is no marketed BR trigger for a Savage action anyway.

I had to do a little filing on the trigger body of each to get mine to fit. No problem, better to file for a tight fit than have the trigger body all sloppy on the action IMO.

I installed one in my brother's Marlin he won at the Turkey banquet and he likes it a lot and as others have said for the money they are real nice.
