VOTE, for SENSIBLE gun control!

Post by glenn asher »

Every household shall have a minimum of one military caliber rifle with a double basic load of ammunition, one major caliber handgun with four reloads for each adult.
Carrying concealed rifles shall be illegal except in cases where the rifle is not esthetically pleasing.
It will remain perfectly legal to appear in public unarmed, but you have to do odd jobs for anyone who asks.
One gun a month. Minimum.
Any firearm consisting of more than 50% polymer composition must be made available in both 6 and 12 packs as well as for individual sale.
Mandatory maintenance and servicing shall not be required by, as the public shame and humiliation should be enough to accomplish this, and the people do not need to be further burdened with another onerous gun control measure.
As part of the "Improved No Child Left Behind" all secondary schools will offer a remedial marksmanship program, so that any deficiencies observed in the K-12 Civics, Safety, and Firearms programs can be corrected.
No one shall own or possess more firearms than they can protect from the elements and weather.
All guns confiscated by police departments shall be either donated to local schools and shooting clubs, or provided members of the public who cannot afford to purchase their own defensive firearms.
Trash service will now include a separate container for separating spent brass from other recyclables.
All civil permits will now include a marksmanship qualification: drivers licenses, building permits, etc.
In addition to the standard deductions, owning and operating reloading equipment capable of producing more that 1000 rounds a month shall earn a tax credit.
No one shall own any belt fed or crew served weapons unless they can demonstrate that they have a the required number of people to crew the weapon.
It will be unlawful to manufacture or sell any rifle that cannot shoot a minimum of 2 MOA, unless said rifle is of collector/historical value.
For an additional .50 cents you shall be able to add bacon to any purchase. This is not really gun related, but I really like bacon.
City planning commissions must allocate at least one firing lane per five single family dwellings at the public range.
It will be unlawful to store any antique and/or collectable firearms in any manner that prevents or hinders the viewing and appreciation of historical relics.

I might have cut and pasted this from another site  , but it sure sums up MY attitude about it all  .

Lee, I think a lot of it will come from however Heller vs. DC plays out in the Supreme Court. If it gets ruled in our favor, the riffraff will have to come up with some other way to torment us, ammo bans or some such (and yes, they're already working on that kind of stuff   ) I truly think we'll win the Heller case, there are 55 Senators and 250 Congresscritters who've signed amicus briefs weighing in on OUR side, and lots of others, to include that famous bird hunter Richard Cheney, who went AGAINST the administration, who've sided with the "other side" on this. There's still a long way to go with this, but it's really looking like we've got them by the short and curlies
Sarah Brady, and the VPC are spitting nails, they have no logical refutation of the Heller case, all they can do is whine about emotional stuff. We have Madison's Federalist Papers, Jefferson's correspondence, and all the real, solid stuff, they got whining mommies.
We still have to fight and defeat the gungrabbers, and probably the very best way to do it, is to win back Congress this election, take it away from the Reids and Pelosis, and that will stop whomever wins the White House, if no legislation of an anti-gun nature goes to the White House for signing, nothing gets signed. I'm pretty disgusted with our choices this year, but that's our truly best bet. Congress has even lower approval ratings than President Bush, so it's possible.
