Speed of a good load ?
Thinking I have finally worked up a good load for my Ruger MK II sporter in 204. Loading a 35 gr Berger HP ahead of 25.5 gr of RE-10x powder. Getting 1 & 1/2 " groups at 200yrds. But can't find any velocity data on it. My barrel is 24" long. Anybody have any idea how fast it may be going ?

Re: Speed of a good load ?
I'd guess 3600 to 3800 fps at around 12ish feet from the muzzle.

Re: Speed of a good load ?
By my chrony data, with a 26 in barrel, I'm getting about 4050 fps with the 35 gr. Berger and 25.5 of RE-10X.
Hold 'em & Squeeze 'em

Re: Speed of a good load ?
Wow I was way off! I shot some 35's yesterday with N-140 and the best I could manage was 3808 with 28.4 grains. Looks like I need to get back into the 10x!
