You guys make me JEALOUS!!!!! And Hawkeye, it is like a kick in the nuts seeing a NF on a LRPV!!! Too bad my 8x32 Sig. Select isn't worth about 1000 so i could trade it in on a NF!! Haha Good looking combos guys!

You know it occurs to me (perhaps rather humorously) that your test proceedure is a fairly decent test of your camera optics, given the general improvement in scope glass of late.

I know what you mean. I really like the camera, it's a Nikon Coolpix P5000. One of the best compacts I've ever used.

Bought the 5.5x22x56 last year. The illuminated reticle is nice against a dark target. Glass is top of the line. I'm putting mine on my Les Baer Ulitmate varmint .204 when it comes in. I would like to get another to go on my .26-06. Awesome scopes!

I agree totally with Rick, that is some beautiful wood there. I have one of the less expensive ones, a Model 57 and I like it a lot. The scope shown on it will go on my new Ruger 1B in .204 when it is done. It now has a SN-3 3.2-17x44 as shown on the lower rifle.Rick in Oregon wrote:cooperscool: Now, that is one very sweet pair of rifles you've got there buddy! Absolutely beautiful. It appears there's a NF in my future too. Skipper has had his way with me......
The Model 57 will get a metric SN-3 1.8-10x37 and that will be much lighter and compact. I think the 10 power will be adequate out to 250 or so yards, and give good field for the short shots.
