Another Double today...with a 243!

Post by acloco »

No pics yet...tomorrow night. 200 yard shot.

This NEF 243 hates me and everything that I feed it. I am giving it one more try.

I have, literally, 22 different bullets, ranging in weight from 55 to 105 grains. Speer, Sierra, Berger, Hornady, etc, etc, etc.

I loaded 36.5 of H4895 to put a couple rounds down the tube in the field.

Time will tell...time will tell.

acloco, Have you tryed IMR4350 yet ? Both of my 243's shoot the 70gr or 100gr bullets really good useing this powder in them. Both are rem. rifles with a 1-10 twist barrels on them. Hope this helps ya out some.

I must have shot 200 rounds through my Handy Rifle before it started to group. I use 45gr of IMR 4831 behind a 70gr Hornday. I also piller posted the for end. I now wonder if I was cleaning the barrel on it enough. Run the brass brush down it severel times it couldn't hurt.
