hey guys i'm looking at getting an auto .22lr. which one would have the highest cap aftermarket magazines? in my area capacity doesn't matter in a rimfire and i want something in the range of 30+ round banana clip or something of that nature. i have an old crosman auto .22 but can't find mags for it? any suggestions? it's just fun to go rambo on water jugs or something. and not to worry. i live on a 1200 acre farm and shoot at a large burm so i won't be unsafe with it.

vicv,

Go Ruger 10/22. Every option you could dream and then some you couldn't even immagine are available for that rifle including drum mags that hold 100 shots. I bought a target model in the 1970's that still shoots accurate and reliable with no repairs just cleaning(15,000-20,000 shots).

How 'bout that twin-barrel gatling set-up for the 10/22? 200 rds must crank off pretty quick. :assault:

that was very neat. would that setup make it an illegal gun though?

i got rid of all of my high capacity mags for my 10/22. the problem is the weight of the extra shells in the mag, make it heavy enough to pull the mag down just far enough to cause feeding problems and lots of jams to clear. :wall:
maybe it depends on the magazine manufacturers, but i cured the problem my own way.

Yea, those goofy gatling things are legal...considered semi-auto. Check out Cabelas: $399.99 for the kit and you supply the two 10/22s.
