Coating 17HMR with WS2
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to coat 17hmr with WS2. I would think that you would improve performance as well as keeping the barrel cleaner.

Bob, unless you unseated the bullets, coated them, and then reseated them into the tiny rimfire case, it can't be done.
The amount of exposed bullet in those cases does not include the bearing surface, thereby negating the effect of any coating you could apply to the loaded ammunition. Not to mention that the crimp on rimfire ammunition must be very, very consistent for proper ignition.
It's just not pratical.
