Re: Remington 541S Custom Sporter
Holy doodle! I sold mine about ten years ago for $350, then after a few years of kicking myself where it does the most good, I figured I should buy a new 541T as soon as I learned they were being discontinued also. The rimfire BR-50 boys love these, and scoop them up at every opportunity.
I found the last one in Oregon in the late '90's, bought it, and after I received it at my local FFL, the dealer in Portland called me to say if he had known it was being discontinued, he would have never sold it to me for $300. I still have the 541T, won't be selling it any time soon, and figure sometimes things DO go right.
Over a thousand bucks for a 541S? I don't think so!

Somehow I don't miss my old M541S as much as I used to .....

Re: Remington 541S Custom Sporter
Around the Louisville area, those are selling for $650 to $750, if they can be found. I have a buddy with a couple, NIB, that he won't sell, for some reason. He dabbles and trades and gets a lot of good stuff, most of which he turns over. Not those.
