New 22 RF semi auto.... Problems?

Purchased one of these from J & G:

Function and accuracy is good. IMHO, actually, accuracy is VERY good for a 4" barrel.

Handgun is just the right size for my hand and is lightweight.

Problem - a fired case has a bulge just above the rim at the 6 o'clock position. Bulge in the case occurred because whomever made the feed ramp, touched the bottom of the chamber about 1/16" in.

Keep shooting or send it back? No reply from the company that I purchased the pistol from. Will call them tomorrow.

Suggestions?

Does it bulge cases with all brands of ammo, or just what you were using? If it's not a major bulge, it's probably okay to use it, since you can't reload those cases anyway, but I'd want SOME margin of safety, and it sounds like you're concerned.

If it's doing that will all brands of ammo, I'd send it back, as eventually it'll bite you. If it's just bulging with one brand of ammo, obviously, you'd just switch ammo and continue on your merry way.

acloco: I'd send it back. Eventually a round loaded just a tad hotter or under the wrong circumstances will eventually burst a case. It's just not worth dinking around with from a safety standpoint, even though it's just a .22LR.

For what we pay for this stuff, it should be right every time. JMO
