There are a few loads on Alliant's load data guide.I used simular powders in Hodgdon, mostly for light target loads.

Lots of shotgun powders do double duty for handgun calibers, too. I load .45 acp and .38 spcl with Hodgdon Clays.
Just check the manuals for all the info you will need.

Re: Shotgun / pistol powder??
Another powder to consider would be Herco and/or red dot. I use Herco for my shotgun loads and although I don't use it for my 38's, I do see in my reload manuals, it can be used in the 38. I also see loads for Red Dot.
As for price, in these times, if you can find the powder you are looking for, You may need to just "bite the bullet"!

OMG! Biting a bullet is very hard.
It has only a little chance to buy the cheapest powder.
Anyway, I will have to save first to buy the right gun powder for me.

Why yes it is, quite similar to biting a piece of bone when chewing hamburger. OuchGleedaniel13 wrote:OMG! Biting a bullet is very hard.

Universal is doing double duty for me. It is a bit dirty though.
