Does anyone know if the 243 AI will feed through a Savage dbox mag without any mods to the mag?
Or would it be better to do a non-mag?

As long as it is a centerfire short action standard .473 cartrage base mag it will work fine. Only issues would come up in regards to headspace if wanting to shoot close to lands! However, if doing a custom build that most likley will not be a issue either. Factory barrel jobs often have excessive chamber depth to keep pressures low.
