good deal?

Post by Clint E »

Went to the local boom stick shop today to trade my 40cal xd that i dont care to shoot at all anymore and trade for a muzzle loader.
They said there invitory was to high but was intrested in my xd so after looking around i saw a ruger m77 mark 2 in204 it was flaw less so i asked about it and a local gun smith owned but traded it for a 17hmr which he is big into the 17s.
Talked to the gun smith that i have known for years and said it only had about 50 rounds down the tube but liked playing with the 17 better.
ended up trading the xd plus a 100 rounds for the m77 a box of amo and a bore snake.
Did i do good or bad i will get more use out of a rifle than a pistol .
Just thought i would get your opionions

That sounds like a good deal on your end, well done. I grabbed one awhile back, haven't shot it, maybe some day she will get to see the light of day. Put a 3x9 Redfield wideview on her, thought it might make a good carry gun. The only MK II I own, never knew how nice they really were til I got it home!! They look sexy, let us know how it shoots.

Clint: Sounds like a decent deal to me. My dad always told me "a deal is a good one if both parties come out smiling at the end". Sounds like you're smiling. :D

Let us know how she shoots........
