I bought a Moyers adjustable trigger for my #1 V in 204 and was wondering how difficult it is to replace the trigger yourself.

PS - I have decent mechanical skills and consider myself to be fairly handy.

BigBull: I installed a Moyers trigger in my Ruger 77/22 Mag switch barrel rig, and put a Canjar single set trigger in my No.1 V. Neither one was much trouble, and I'm no mechanical wizard either. Sounds like you'd to perfectly alright to me.

Funny you should ask, I just installed a Kepplinger set trigger in my No.1 and it wasn't hard to do at all.
Buy the way I set my trigger at 2 lbs in the normal position and 10 oz in the set position. Gary

The trigger replacement is encouraging,but what got my attention,is the V1 in 204.I was talking to my shooting buddy this morning about the Ruger #1 vt and wondered why it wasn't chambered in 204ruger (Ruger web site),since they collaberated on the cartridge.The site only shows a blued modle in .223,.22-250,and 25-06.Is there possibly a SS model with laminate stock in 204?

The answer is "yes". There's at least two forum members with that exact rifle.

Yep in a S/S #1 Varmint in 204 Ruger............Take off the forend and the stock.........Good tools are must...........the stock screw is tight and a slot head. A good set of pin punches. All pins the to take out the trigger and sear have to be driven out. Need some wood blocks and some old leather to lay the action on and support it while you drive out the pins, Follow the install directions on Moyers package or box. Adjustment is simple. Re-install your stock, recoil pad and forend.......Hope this helps.
