My upper is ready!

Just got a call today that my White Oak Arms upper for the AR15 I'm putting together is going to be ready to be picked up by Friday. I placed the order a couple weeks ago and about fell out of my chair listening to the voicemail today that it was ready. I figured it would be at least a 1-2 month wait with everything that is going on in the firearms world, especially with the AR's. I got lucky on this one.

I ended up with a 26" bull barrel .223 with a 1-12 twist. I've got some work to do now to get some initial loads worked up. I have 500 pieces of new brass and some berger 52 grain match varmint bullets to try out. I will post some pictures Friday once I get the upper and get the rifle assembled. :D

I did get it picked up last night and installed on my Rock River lower. It's awesome!! :D

I haven't had a chance to get any pictures of it yet but I'll try and get them posted this afternoon. If it shoots as good as it looks, it's going to be a blast!

I finally got a chacne to get a few pictures of the new rig and get them posted. Right now she is naked...no optics. To start with I'm going to bump the old man's new Nikon Monarch 3-12x 42mm with the BDC reticle. Plans are to add a Leupold VX-III 6-20 with the Varmint Hunters reticle but I need to save up some funds 1st!

Here's the Specs

Rock River Lower
Wilson set trigger (breaks at 3 pounds without set, using the set function drops it down to 1 pound)
White Oak Arms Varmint Upper with WOA varmint handguard
26" Bull Wilson Match barrel with 1-12" twist

Will be adding a...
JP riser
Leupold VX-III (mentioned above)
probably some time of upgraded buttstock to add length of pull adjustment and adjustable cheek riser

We've got another prairie dog trip planned for mid June of this year. I'll be taking both the newly built AR and my trusty LRPV .204...I can not WAIT!

Here's a few pictures...I'll add more as the project progresses...
