My New Lil' Baby....

Hey Guys, I am a new proud Daddy!!! I have been working 65hrs+ a week all summer and saving for my upcoming wedding along with trying to grab some select toys before the big day. My LRPV in .204 is still my first true love, but every time I pick this thing up I can't stop smiling!!!! I still have go get her sighted in. There are flurries in the air at the moment....and it was 75degrees last weekend.... only in IOWA, but the rings weren't in yet  !! I have a 80 testers loaded up. So I can't wait. After a 514yrd hit this year prairie doggin' I am addicted to the long shots and I decided on a .308. I did a post and I wanted to thank everyone for their input. This is what I decided on.

It is a FN SPR in .308 Win. 24" barrel with a Leupy 8.5-25 Long Range on top of it with Burris XTR rings.

Here it is:

SO PRETTY!!! Haha. I am hoping for at least one more nice day before people start cursing and saying that "winter" word. Happy shooting. -Dan

VERY nice rig.

May I suggest just ONE more option? Scope level...they help, a lot, on long range shooting.

I prefer the type that clamps onto the rail and hangs out the left side, that way, I just have to focus my left eye on it, without raising my head to look at the type that are mounted on the scope.

Wow....still a nice rig!!!

I use the same scope on my 22/6mm AI. Watching prairie dogs being cut in half is fun...starting at 400 yards!!! :)

Wait until you see the air time and distance...simply amazing.

I have to ask....WHAT bullet????

Huntsman, yes there will be little copper cigars infact 168gr and 175gr. They are going fast though....hopefully soon wont have many left!!!!

Acloco, Ya buddy. Got the scope PERFECTLY level w/ the gun and the scope level is in the mail.....those darn brown trucks just don't go fast enough!!! I have one on my VX-L on my LRPV and I love it. Check it before every shot and this year my first shot kills when way up out past 350yrds! By the way if you can't tell, I am still smiling...... :D Love this thing!, now if only that darn white stuff would quit falling and blowing!!!! -Dan
