my bro is looking at a gun not sure the caliber but here are the specs

700 Remington Action
McMillian A5 Adjustable Thumbwheel stock
24" Krieger #7 Barrel
Harris Bipod
Leupold Mk 4 Rings
Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x50mm Tactical Scope, M1 Target knobs, scope dope, sunshade

might be a 223 i think

any idea i am thinking around 1500 form what the parts would cost

i get the caliber as soon as a can

The way I calculate it is
Action- $250
McMillan- $600 (seems to be what used ones are going for)
Kreiger- $250
Harris- $45
Rings- $80
Scope -$500

So thats 1725 if everything is great condition, with out too many rounds down it, so if the guy was asking for anymore than 1700, I wouldn't take it. I would probably offer 1500-1600

its a .308

The Leupold is $980 to $1300 new....normally sell used in the range of $750 to $1100. Scope is worth at least what the rifle and accessories are.

Personally, I place no extra value on ANY barrel maker, because, 98% of most owners really don't have a clue how many rounds down the tube...so...it is just another used barrel.
