Shot my vtr for the first time yesterday! Very very happy, after a few shots and scope adjustments I was shooting 100 yards and touching bullet holes! I have a Burris 4.5x14x42 tactical scope on it and I got her hitting an inch high @100. Not had a chance to shoot farther than that yet. I'm curious about the ballistic plex, I never used one. Burris gives the data for the 40 grain but not the 32 grainers. This will for sure be a learning experience. Any one have this scope using 32 grain hornadys? Any input would be greatly appreciated. This rifle will mainly be used for ground hogs out to around 400 yards with most shots around 250 to 300 yards. I will on occasion take it yote hunting but it's main purpose will be hogs!

Re: FINALY SHOT MY 700 REMINGTON VTR
Glad your new rifle is shooting so well. I would use the 39gr Sierra Blitzkings or 35gr Bergers for yotes. Better knockdown power. The 204 is a great caliber. Both my Savages will shoot 3 shots under a dime at 100 yards. 1 3/16 inches at 200 yards with my new 11 thumbhole stock. Good luck hunting.
