VTR Trouble?

My new M700 VTR 204 is a great shooter, but I am concerned about why the bolt closes so hard. Does not matter what ammo I use, it just closes hard, and sometimes very hard. I,ve cleaned the chamber thoughly, cleaned and lubed the bolt to no avail. I do notice the rims of fired casings are dented pretty deep where the extractor slips over it and some shavings are left in the bolt head. My question is the extractor too long and sharp or do I have a head space problem?

badhop: Only one way to find out for sure.....take it to your smith and have him check it with the "go" and "no-go" gauges.

I finally shot my vtr this evening and was very happy with its performance :D I had no trouble with the bolt or anything everything was pretty smooth. I would listen to rick and take it to a reliable gunsmith.
