I bet he ties a carrot to his fishin pole and lowers it into their burrows, Elmer Fudd style! The 17 Hornet never sleeps...

Okay Don, very nice coyote 'n all, but details man, we need details!

(But it looks like you're having just the right amount of fun for a guy with a new rifle. )

Rick, there's all kind of details in that post. Don was in Colorado, the sun was out and it was fairly warm. He spotted a decent size coyote with nice fur. The yote was out in the open but, a LONG ways away. Don ranges him through the binos, grabs that trusty Ruger 77/17 Hornet. Drops him clean, one shot, no exit wound. Okay Don, next time YOU do the typing, LOL!

Thanks Ramos. That about covers it.....

Rick, he was well over 300 yds. (not ranged, but a heckuva good guess) to get a first shot hit, in the wind, by holding over his back 6 inches and on his ear to get a lung shot. He spun a couple times, but took off running on my second shot. Ran about 80 yds and keeled over. Sometimes, it's better to be lucky, than good......grin

I did'nt think it was possible. The write up for this picture is even shorter than the last one! What is next? Half a picture??? Sheesh, must be pretty darn busy :)

Rick, I'm outta factory stuff now. Handloads with 20 gr vmaxes over 10 gr. lilgun....

ramos, they say a pic is worth a thousand words. I figured since I knew I couldn't add more than maybe 20, I'd let the pics say it all. Or you.......
