I kind of thought it might have been a plastic tipped bullet. The scope looks like it was made just for that rifle.

Cheap redfield 2-7x, accurange. I do like them, I reckon. Got 8 of 'em....

They might be cheap in price, but I would say they are not cheaply made or you wouldn't have 8 of them. You sure are making me kick myself for selling my 222 in 600 that I owned forever and a day. The throat was getting bad and it was in need of a muzzle job, so I sold it. Bummer. I had an early MPI synthetic stock on it and an ultra light extensioned style base I had machined from aluminum. Sure was an accurate little bugger.

Now that is a great picture of a varmint! Yep, it will spend it's time in the happy badger retreat.
I certainly do have a lot of memories using a Triple Deuce in the fields back home.
