Did I pay too much @ $349? It's 1969 Ruger M77R in 6mm Remington. These SOB's came with Douglas barrels and old Bill Ruger demanded they be assembled right and tight. Later on "not so much". :lol:

Congrads on a good find. I pd 400 for my 7x57. so you did good.
That came with a 12 twist or a 9 twist? I'm guess the 12?

It is a 9 twist. I ordered a set of Lee Collet dies from Cabela's. I've never fooled around with those. It should be fun. I read that they are among the best dies for low run-out. :wink:

I agree, the older Rugers were assembled well and were tack drivers. I've owned two of the newer ones and sold both because the accuracy was dismal no matter what load and technique I tried.
