Cooper eye candy at Scheels - Bismarck, ND

Post by acloco »

Thought some of you might like to see these. Scheels in Bismarck, ND has a NICE selection of rifles, pistols, shotguns, air rifles, reloading components, etc, etc. Impressive (2nd place to GunStop in Minneapolis though). ....and...they allowed me to buy 5K primers. I could not believe it.

Out of curiosity, do you recall the sale price on that Montana Varminter with the fluted barrel in the second pic?

Believe the sale price was 1299 or 1399. Sorry, they are great to look at, but I can buy a great barrel, good glass, good trigger, good stock...and put it all on a Savage for what those go for. BUT....I REALLY like looking at them. Coopers really do have nice lines to the stock and feel good when shouldered.....as many of you know.

There were a couple used Coops in the store as well...in the $1000/1100 range.

Actually I take it out of the safe every evening, turn the lights down low and gently work the action while chanting " here Skippy" long into the night.  Gary

You crack me up, Gary. At least you're not fondling one of those "boy" rifles. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. ;)

Mike, we have to watch him closely during our shoots. Know one really knows if he's also fondling OUR girl rifles when we're all alseep!

Oh the horror of thinking that Rosa or The Silver Princess were being drooled on by someone else, in the dark no less......it's bad enough keeping the hard cases out of Skippy's reach during daytime!
