You ARE alive! Nice looking stick you have there.ACLakey wrote:I am a little behind in this conversation but I am a huge proponent of the .223AI.
Mine started life as a Savage 12FV and now has a 22" 1:12 sporter weight barrel with a .223AI chamber set up for calling coyotes. acloco was a tremendous help and walked me through the process of conversion and load development. I have loades developed with 40gr bt using Benchmark, TAC and H335 that will produce 3850 easily. Using 52gr BTHP match bullets and H4895 I am getting 3650 and they are heck on coyotes. I hunted coyotes with a 22-250 for years and my go to load was a 55gr bullet at around 3650 so that is saying a lot for the .223AI. Hope this helps.
