I've never tried the stuff but an advid pistol competitor told me once he swore by some stuff called FP-10. Target shooters keep those 1911's lubed to slow down the wear that loosens the lock up. It's been taken over by Shooters Choice and one of these days I'll pick some up and try it out.

For me I've always used CLP (BreakFree) and I've toyed around with Tetra.

I like Eezox. It cleans, lubricates, prevents rust and dries to a film that does not collect dirt. Best "snake oil" for shooting!

I like Tri-Flow (with teflon) best, but I also use Hoppe's Elite Gun Oil (it's heaver than Tri-Flow). Gary

Check out Mili-Tec-1 web site. I've been using this in and on my barrels after there cleaned. Works great on factory barrels as well as my custom Hart barrels.
Worth a look!
