Savage has some interesting rifles in the pipeline...

Post by Mike »

I was looking at some of the new rifles that Savage will have for '09 and really like what I see. In particular, the Model 12 Benchrest and the new dual port actions on it and the LRPV series. A Model 12 Benchrest with 6mm BR and 6.5 x 284 barrels would be quite the compliment to a .204 in a prairie dog patch!

Mike,

Thanks for bringing that link up! I really like the new guns coming out too! I really wanted to get into the 6 BR norma but didnt want the 1 in 12 twist they were currently offering. Do you know when the 09 models will come out?

I'm not sure when the '09 models will hit dealers, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of these new rifles in person. A friend just ordered an LRPV in 6mm BR. I can't wait to spend a little time with that gun to see what it can do on paper and in the prairie dog fields.
