I went with my dad to get his new trapgun fitted! I think it turned out great, the pics dont do it justice at all. the wood is amazing. Right now it only has sanding sealer on it so he can shoot it for a while and make sure everything is good and then he will have them finish the finish. the wood didnt show up all that great because of the glare so sorry.

Wow, I can tell you guys are serious about trap shooting. Beautiful wood on both guns, and very nice stock work too. I bet you're both very proud of those beauties.

Is that curly maple? I had a guitar made of that years ago.

How heavy is it? Walnut is pretty heavy. It bet it swings nice!

I havent wieghted his gun but mine has english walnut also and weights about 10.2 lbs for the total gun.

Yes, very nice. I've done some work with American walnut and it's much darker than that.That's why I thought it might be curly maple. Maple is great for a guitar, but it expands too much for a gun. Nice, very impressive.
