Just saw the new for '08 remi R-15 VTR.

I have been interested in getting an AR based varminter for some time now but not to many gun shops here in Canada (that I know of) carry companies like Les Baer and DPMS, so I'm interested in this new model.
Well I guess I'll wait to see what the reviews say.

Re: New Remi R-15 VTR Pred rifle
JD: We're all waiting. Remington was sold last year to new owners, and they have publicly said that they are now thinking out of the box, and with their alliance with Bushmaster, this is the first product as a result of the "out of the box" thinking.
As long as our '08 elections go well, and we don't end up with some idiot Democrat/anti-gun president, there could be lots of new and exciting products in the future from Remington; this is just the first.
