any one tried the rem 798 and would after market mauser98 stocks fit?

Remember the old Interarms Mark X Mausers? The Remington 798 is the same rifle. It was also sold as a Charles Daly for a few years. Other names could be Interarms Viscount, Whitworth, and probably others, they came in a variety of stocks and other gadgets and goodies.
There ARE some minor differences between them and military Mausers, so look for stocks marketed for one of the above names. They are made by Zastava, another name you can look under!
