I have the chance to buy a Thompson Center Venture Preditor camo rifle in 204 Ruger. It seems like a real good rifle. Does anybody out there have one and how do you like it ? Are they as accurate and handle as good as I hear ? And what about that 1:10 rifleing, can you handle 45 & 50 gr bullets ?

I just picked mine up today. I'll be testing 32gr, 40gr, and 39gr bullets this weekend hopefully. I will let you know how it goes.

Getting ready to pick mine up as well. $435!! Why not!!?!

The 10-twist should take you into the 50 grain realm with ease. Standard is a 12-twist.

so how did it shoot?

mine was ok but the 3-9x scope that came with it just isn't powerful enough for me to confidently hold on target at 100yds. eventually i'll put a 4.5-14x Nikon scope on it but it will resting in the safe for a while. i have an AR in 204 that is getting my attention.

Several local's do bid-ness with Davidson's. Griggs Dept. Store is my go to gun haus. Normally they charge $10 FFL, but due to my relationship with them it is usually $5.

Fill in the info and search, when you see the one you want, click "instant quote". They will tell you who, and how much.

Ended-up not buying it. Trigger was fine in stock form; not great, not terrible.
Just decided to spend my money on components and upgrades to what I had.

The 1:10 twist should shoot the heavy bullets well as well as the 39 grain Blitzkings. I would try some 55 grain bullets as they have a great BC. You should be able to get an additional barrel for about $200 I believe. They are in our system but we have not received any additional barrels for them at work yet.

That's my question, Not sure where he works, but I assume he is talking about the Dimension, NOT the Venture.... Which is what the thread is about :P

I am so sorry, I was thinking of the new Dimension rifle that T/C just came out with. It is a change barrel system. I did not mean to cause any confusion.
