Bobcat mount finally finished!

Post by Neil S. »

Yep, just got it back from the taxidermist! It is a 25 lb female that I called in and shot this winter with my savage 12FV, using 32 V-Max factory ammo :D . Here are some pics of the cat for comparison:

The little V-Max went in behind the left shoulder and did not exit! A perfect specimen for a full body mount. And here is what she looks like now:

It really came out nice. I'm 110% happy with how it looks! Its a day I will never forget. It was my first success at preditor calling! It turned out to be a good week for me, as just a few days later I called in a couple coyotes that my brother put down:

Our cousin had to help hold all the game for the hero shot:

Thats him in the middle and that silly looking guy on the right is me. Man I love this stuff! I'm looking forward to another great season this winter!

Thanks guys, I'm stoked! acloco- Our local taxidermist is Cathy Gearwar, in Benson Vermont. She has done several deer mounts for my cousins and my brother, her work is top notch!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! My only question is a mount like that might spook visitors if they weren't informed of its presence. Might be one heck of a conversation starter, after you get them off of ceiling....... :D :D :D
