Im new to coyote hunting and have a remington 700 in .243 but now am looking at a H and R ultra varmint and was woundering is amy one knows how they shoot. For the H and R im lookiging at a .223 and .204 but cant decide. .223 is cheaper than .204 but .204 sounds like it has the upper hand on the .223. If anyone could give me some advise it would be much appreciated. thanks

I had an Handi Rifle-not the Ultra Varmint tho- in a 204. It shot alright but it was very load specific. The POI would change considerably from one bullet weight/design to another. It also hated 40 grain V Max's. They keyholed right out of the muzzle. There is a large and dedicated group of H&R fanatics and they have a very active web site. They'll be able to answer all your questions and offer tips and accuracy tweaks. Good group of guys. Here it is. Dave
