bought a ghillie suit. . . :D . . . butt. . . no face mask. my 3d leafy mask makes too much noise when the suit's hood is up, dern polyester mask.

Started to make my own mask with a ski mask, but I can't get the fabric that I would like to tie to it.

Face paint is too shiny from my past experiences.

any suggestions would be great.

Try the face mask from NaturalGear (aka NatGear). Available in woodland, snow and desert/sage camo patterns.

Speaking of ghillies, here's one made by my son for the Sierra foothills, but used in the photo here on the high desert of central Oregon....not a perfect match, but seems to fool coyotes purty well....

That's a pretty sweet set up your boy has there! :D Out here we have a lot of green in the spring through the early fall. As soon as I get the chance I'll have to post some pics with my suit.

My ghillie needs some more brown in it for where I'll be at specifically, but for now it's awesome. . . .provided I can stay away from briars and barbed wire fence (already had experiences with both) :wall: Common sense.

I'll check out that mask you recommended. Thanks!

RIO: I found a ghillie mask with same colors as my suit, the mask resembles that of the one your son is sporting in the photo. Its a build it yourself kit and the ad states that there should be enough material left over to construct a rifle cover too. :D $15 from sniperghillies.com plus $18 sum odd in shipping.

thanks! :D

got the mask in the mail today. will be working on things this weekend and will post pics next week some time.

RIO: I noticed in the photo of your son that the barrel on his rifle looks short. What rig is he using? It would do well in a blind or in brush. . . kinda like where he's at in the photo.
