This was last week, very close to the center of the state. Five of us shot for four days on this same dog town, mostly with 204's.

The coral in this photo is right at 400 and the fence brhind that is 530.

Two really good shooting 204's!

Here is my 80 year old Dad set up with his Mod 70 Win in 220Swift. He can still get 'em at 400 yards and he reads the wind and mirage better then anybody. We can't get him to switch over to a 204.

We shot a few at 125 to 200 just for some gross pix.

These were shot at 275 to 325, I was too lazy to walk for farther ones and I didn't want to miss shooting time for lesser pictures.

This shoot was a real treat. We had 75 deg weather, light wind if any, and only one late afternoon rain out. I must be living right to enjoy life like this.

Missed the picture of my Dad, but I'll fix that soon. I'm proud of the old guy, he got me started shooting gophers at age 6. He can still hold and squeeeeze a trigger. None of us other experienced shooters can come close to reading mirage and wind like he can. He only shoots the 220 Swift at pd's, we can't switch him to a 204.

acloco,

I can't remember if it was Smith or Jones, but as soon as I remember I'll let you know. Here is a picture of our host.

His name is Larry. Distant second cousin on my mom's side of the family. :)

I have to protest the graphic gory-ness of the photos, they upstaged my pics real bad      I forgive you this time, though

Great pics, I always forget to get "People" pics :wall: , all mine are of dead rats, and get kinda boring after awhile. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great pics. The first one reminds me alot of the place I shoot in Montana. So much so that I put it up on my monitor as wallpaper. My pd towns are about 125 miles east and south of Lewistown.
I am truly envious; I only got two good days of shooting in up there this year, then the weather turned nasty and I had to head home. I have had some real good times up there, though; and plan on being up there again next year.
