I nailed this guy 187 yds from off of my deck on Thursday morning. A 35 gr berger with a nice load of benchmark. DRT. It was a nice break in the day as I was supposed to be studying for a steam engineering exam (I write my last one on Tuesday and then FREEDOM).
Can't wait until skippy starts to show his face.

This was the view the yote had when he was looking at me lying down on the deck just before the berger slammed into him.

DANG that is one heck of a backyard you have there!!! That is the one great thing that I lack in this neck of the woods. I would LOVE to be able to shoot off of the porch. I'm jealous...I have to walk about a half mile to shoot skippy (legally).
That is a great looking dog and a pretty rifle.

Great looking coyote! Its heated up down here I have to watch out for Rattle snakes now when I set out my caller. The snow looks great though. I set up for hours trying to call one in last night with no luck the night before I got one to come in but didn't have my scope dialed in right by the time I figured out what was going on it took off. Good Job.

Hi Gube, I am from Regina Sask and I saw that you were using the Berger 35 I just picked some up today to try as I have been using 39 SKB using H4350 powder.
A number of the guys in this area state that with a 1-12 twist the bullet to use is the 35gr.
I was wondering if you ever have used them with H4350?

Sask Boy
My best results with the 35 bergers have been with benchmark, H-4895, and RL-10X
I would think that the H-4350 burn rate may be a tad to slow for the 35 gr. BUT it's always worth while giving it a try.
