crow bashing with extras photo shoot !

All the feathers are where I pulled them out to see the entry hole.

I couldn't have got it closer in the middle of his chest than that !!!
Image
You can just see the exit on his lower back

The fox which ran out of luck. Maybe had I just left the crow he could have had a free meal!

Close up of entry. Barely a mark. Would have been ideal for pelt

This one gives a better idea of the entry spot

Nice shooting!
What bullet and load were you using? Every .204 kill I've seen (online) have had significant "splash" wounds.

Homefront. I used factory 40gr rems accutip on the crow and factory 40hornady on the fox. I'm not reloading my own yet but im trying the 40gr hornady on fox because I wasnt getting clean one shot kills with the rems on foxes. If the 40 hornadys work I know that i can reload them and thus only have one bullet for all shooting instead of one for foxing and another for long range shooting.

Thats suprising to me you didn't get more damage.

Every crow I have shot with the 204 ended up in about a 20' radius of feathers and bloody mess. That was using the 39ers though. More impressive than my 22-250 with 40 grainers at 4100.

I have shot them at about 100 to 120yds and there is a huge mess. I cant under stand why the long range one in the photos has just that neat hole. Unless the velocity had tailed off enough to not expand the bullet
