Do I need any tag to shoot coyotes or PD's in Montana? I can't find anything on their website.

No on the prairie dogs or gophers...BUT....know this. There is a difference between prairie dogs and gophers.

These are two seperate species. On some lands (private and public), prairie dogs are protected and you cannot shoot them.

Coyotes - not that I am aware, but have been away from home for 10 years.

Thanks. I ASSUMED I don't, because there's nothing on the site. But I'd hate to be wrong and get a ticket for shooting a darn dog!

Hmm...I believe you need a fur bearer permit if you are selling or transferring furs out of state...but that is about it.

Call them up...

Sweet! Provide details and pics on the trip.

LOL! I guess you have just been assigned an internet "book report" because you will be missing 204rugerhunting class! :)
