shortly after dinner and while sippin a whiskey i spyed this fine looking dawg sneeking threw one of the old mans cow pastures. the sun was an hr or so from setting. So i slipped into a good shooting position without her noticing me. once she cleared the cows she was on her way out of view. So i gave a yip. she stopped dead in her track broadside about 175yds. the 204 barked followed by that o so familiar WOP!! then rest is history.

Was there much damage to the hide? By the looks of the pics there doesn't seem to be much destruction. Was the yote standing broadside and where was it struck?

no destruction at all. one little hole a little smaller than my my pinkie finger just behing the right front shoulder kinda high no exit. yes it was a broadside slightly quartering away shot. i figure the bullet was stopped by the opp. side shoulder blade.
