Most everyone gets good luck with the Remington or Hornady 32 or 40 grain bullets. Nobody has had any luck that I know of besides me with the Winchester 34 grain hollowpoints. My rifle is a Remington, yet I don't think it matters on the brand of your rifle, since each is different. I do recommend trying out all of the 32 and 40 grain loads, then moving to the 34 grain Winchesters and then the 39 grain Sierras, which are loaded by Federal. Good luck!

My VLP does like the Win 34's, but I don't like cleaning out the Lubalox.

My Savage likes the pre-Lubalox loads pretty well, too, I just hate to buy factory ammo  Of the other factory loads I've tried, the 32 Hornady loads have also done very well.

My gun didnt like any factory ammo very much but the 34gr Win was one of the better for groups and did a very good job on a coyote at just under 100yrds.

Welcome to the forum brad9922, I've only shot one box of Hornady 32gr v-max through my 12fv when it was new and it looked like a shot gun pattern when you looked at it. But with the 35gr. berger reload's i made up the accuracy i'm getting is very good. So good luck on the factory bullet's And let us know how your reloading goes when you get to that point Ok?

Hi Brad- My Remmy didn't like either the 32 or 40 Vmaxs. The Federal 39 BK's were the ticket. I'm shooting about .5" groups.

Nice Brad. It took about 100 rounds through mine to get it to settle it.
